[All Platforms] Introduction and Download of Tempest – An End-to-End Encrypted SSH Client with Cross-Platform Sync

Tempest is a cross-platform SSH client currently under development, available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS. It uses end-to-end encryption (E2EE) to secure data and supports cross-platform cloud synchronization.
The client is available in both Free and Pro versions. The free version has very few limitations compared to the Pro version—mainly, it does not include AI features and only supports synchronization across 2 devices. The Pro version supports unlimited device syncing.

Key Features by Module:

SSH:

Supports SSH2 and identity manager
Allows server private key authentication via 1Password
Offers server performance monitoring
Supports fast SFTP file transfers

AI Copilot:

Type # to invoke AI suggestions, such as diagnosing TCP, writing SQL queries, or analyzing logs
Desktop version includes an AI Copilot sidebar for simultaneous chat and maintenance

Kubernetes:

Supports managing Kubernetes Kubernetes terminal configs
Allows managing different clusters in separate tabs with isolated kubeconfigs
Enables cross-device E2EE sync for Kubernetes settings

Local Shell:

On Windows, supports environments like MSYS and WSL (WSL support in development)
Will support Serial connections

Data Encryption and Cloud Sync:

All encryption/decryption is performed locally; synchronized data is always E2EE encrypted
Encryption keys are stored locally and protected using macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager
The encryption/decryption code will be open-sourced on GitHub for public review
Seamless cross-device sync for all data, including hosts, profiles, and keys

Sharing and Collaboration:

Supports terminal sharing—send a link to share a session with friends
Multi-window broadcasting—send a single command to multiple servers simultaneously
Supports multiple vaults, sharing vaults with teams, and revoking user access

Important Notice:
Tempest uses full end-to-end encryption. Upon first login, you must enter your vault password. If you forget the vault password, it cannot be recovered. The only option is to delete your account via the official website and start over. Please make sure to remember your vault password.
